provide information to research
scholars for their historical research

Microfilming
of important records and
computerization / digitization of
records. |

To
acquire important and historical
private records from individuals /
institutions. |

organize exhibitions for developing
the general Archival consciousness in
the State. |

To
inspect the Government offices for
Records Classification Arrangement &
non-current records. |

To
acquire old, important, non-current(15
years old) permanent records from
Secretariats and head of the
departments and also from the other
Government offices. |

To
carry on oral history project by tape
recording the interviews of freedom
fighters / eminent persons etc. in
their own speech. |

impart short term training to
Government employees under the Record
Management programme. |
