Ajit Raika 400 & 800 mtr run
These 151
medals are won in three different
competition venues; SGFI Games, National
Rural Games and National Women’s Sports
Festival. Of the total 151 medals, 47 are
gold, 49 are silver and 55 are bronze. In
the five national competition forums, 1221
boys and girls (664 boys and 557 girls) from
Gujarat participated in 27 different sports
disciplines. This tally of 151 medals is a
vast improvement over the total of 25 medals
won in 1996-97.
