Tables 9 and
10 reveal that SAG’s participation has been
weak in both National Rural Games and
National Women Sports Festival. One of the
reasons is that participants come from the
same pool, and it is not possible for these
participants to take time off from schools
to prepare and participate in two or three
different events occurring at different
times in a year. The Women games are a part
of National Women Sports Festival and do not
constitute a stepping stone to International
competitions. The taluka level yoga and
fitness centers are likely to help better
participation in future from rural areas.
